Why Do People Choose “amanamana” for Singing Bowls?

A Dedicated Singing Bowl Specialist Since 2007

Since 2007, we have led the way in redefining the perception of singing bowls in Japan. Once seen merely as ethnic curios, we recognized their profound potential and have dedicated ourselves to developing and promoting singing bowls made for meditation, sound practice, and moments of stillness.

Trusted by Over 36,000 Experts in Wellness and Beyond

Our singing bowls are cherished by a thriving community of over 36,000 wellness experts, including yoga and mindfulness instructors, aromatherapists, counselors, coaches, consultants, and healthcare professionals. Their trust is a testament to the exceptional experience that our products deliver.

Featured in Five-Star Luxury Hotel Spas

Our Singing Bowls and Tingsha (Tingshaw) are embraced by many prestigious spas, including The Spa at Mandarin Oriental Tokyo and Shangri-La Tokyo’s Chi SPA.

Beyond these renowned locations, our products are widely adopted by spas, aromatherapy centers, and healing salons, and yoga and mindfulness studios nationwide, enhancing wellness experiences with their unparalleled quality and resonance.

The Intricate Art of Forged Singing Bowls

Unlike mass-produced singing bowls, which are made by casting molten metal, our bowls are meticulously hand-forged by skilled artisans. Using traditional “forging” techniques, each bowl is shaped through thousands of precise hammer strikes.

This process creates a dense, durable structure that produces rich, harmonizing overtones—rich, layered overtones that many find calming and grounding.

Timeless Quality for Lifelong Enjoyment

Our singing bowls feature a minimalist design that perfectly balances the warmth of handcrafted artistry with a sense of elegance and luxury. Built to last across your lifetime, they complement a range of settings and are available in a variety of sizes, perfect for expanding your collection or creating unique combinations.

Independently tested; lead and mercury levels are kept below the regulatory limits applied in Japan and the EU.

International Singing Bowl Association (ISBA) Certified

amanamana’s singing bowls are certified by the International Singing Bowl Association (ISBA), a title given exclusively to those that meet strict global standards of quality and authenticity.

They are trusted tools in the ISBA’s workshops and have been featured in the association’s renowned publication, An Introduction to Singing Bowls.

Featured in Leading Magazines and Media

amanamana’s singing bowls have been introduced in esteemed publications like Vogue, Tarzan, Domani, Yogini, and Therapist. Our products have also been highlighted on prominent platforms such as TV, and J-Wave Radio, garnering widespread recognition across fashion, wellness, and lifestyle media.

<About amanamana’s Singing Bowls>

Q. What is a Singing Bowl?

A singing bowl is a metal bowl that produces a sound when played with a stick.

Since our establishment in 2007, guided by a connection with Tibetan high monks, amanamana has been Japan’s leading singing bowl specialist. We offer carefully selected bowls for each customer, from beginners to professionals.

Note: The term “Singing Bowl” originates from the English phrase “Singing Bowl,” meaning “a vessel that sings.” While they are sometimes called Singing Bowls, Donipatros, Tibetan Singing Bowls, or Tibetan Bowls, we at amanamana use the term “Singing Bowl.”

Q. What are Singing Bowls used for?

Singing Bowls are versatile tools for meditation, relaxation, sound therapy, yoga, and energy healing. They create gentle, resonant overtones that many people find calming and grounding.

Q. Why choose amanamana’s Singing Bowls?

amanamana offers authentic, high-quality Singing Bowls made by skilled artisans using traditional methods. Each bowl is sound-tested to ensure clear and resonant tones, perfect for professional and personal use.

Q. Are the Singing Bowls tested for quality and safety?

Absolutely. Every bowl undergoes a careful quality and sound check. Material safety is verified through independent testing, with lead and mercury kept below the regulatory limits applied in Japan and the EU.

Q. Are the Singing Bowls handmade?

Yes, all amanamana Singing Bowls (except for the Rin bowl) are handcrafted by artisans, who follow traditional techniques passed down through generations.

Q. I want to find a Singing Bowl that complements the one I own. How should I proceed?

We recommend bringing your existing bowl to our shop to find a Singing Bowl that complements the one you already own. When two or more Singing Bowls are combined, their resonance can create significant changes in sound, often producing fascinating and unexpected harmonics. Our staff will assist you in testing and selecting a bowl that matches perfectly.

Q. Do you provide instructions on how to use the Singing Bowls?

Yes, we offer simple tutorials for beginners during your visit.

Q. Can Singing Bowls be used by beginners?

Absolutely! Our singing bowls are suitable for all skill levels, from beginners to professionals. Our staff will assist you in finding the perfect bowl and demonstrate how to use it.

Q. What size Singing Bowl do you recommend for beginners?

For beginners, we recommend medium-small to medium-sized singing bowls. Since singing bowls produce sound through their vibrations, smaller sizes like small or extra small can be challenging and are more suitable for intermediate users or as a second singing bowl. Starting with a medium-sized bowl ensures a smoother and more enjoyable experience for beginners.

Q. Can I purchase Singing Bowls as a gift?

Yes, singing bowls make wonderful gifts for friends or loved ones.
